Home Care Delivered Opens Clarksville Facility
Richmond-based company to hire 140 teammates over next 30 months
RICHMOND, Va., May 10, 2006 – Home Care Delivered, one of the premier direct-to-consumer medical supply companies in the nation, today becomes the first of three technology firms to open its offices in the newly built Virginia Lakeside Commerce Park, located off of U.S. 58 east of Clarksville.
Home Care Delivered will use the 9,000-square-foot facility as a call center, serving patients, referral sources and caregivers across the United States. The center will be staffed with 140 new hires over the next 30 months. The company plans to maintain its headquarters in Henrico County.
“This call center is critical to our long-term success,” said Home Care Delivered CEO Gordy Fox. “In addition to bringing jobs and tax revenue to Southside Virginia, this facility will allow Home Care Delivered to continue its expansion and provide home-delivered medical supplies to the thousands of people suffering from chronic illnesses.”
Central to the Home Care Delivered experience is that its employees, which the company refers to as “teammates,” embrace a caring approach. This culture of corporate citizenship will extend as well to Mecklenburg County as the company explores events and organizations with which to affiliate itself.
Gordy Fox founded Home Care Delivered in 1996 after experiencing first-hand the challenges associated with providing home health care for family members. The company delivers medical supplies to patients and supports professional and family caregivers across the country. For more information on Home Care Delivered, visit www.homecaredelivered.com.

And when they need it, Fox and company are there to help. But Home Care Delivered services don't end at the time of delivery.
"We follow up," Fox said. Company representatives will keep in constant communication with customers, making sure medical supplies are always stocked and delivered quickly if more are needed.
Nurses are available in the Home Care Delivered offices, ready to take questions that customers may have about using any of the company's 2,500 medical products, such as catheters or glucose meters.
While there are other online medical supply companies, Fox said he prides himself on his company's service and quality products. Home Care Delivered relies on nurses and hospitals to help get the word out about its products.
But the nurses must be doing a good job of marketing the company, because Home Care Delivered is rising to the top and supplying a steady stream of medical products to its clients. The proof is in the replies.
"We get calls every week from caregivers that call to express appreciation," Fox said. "Those calls, or cards, or notes - that's what makes this business worthwhile."
